Good Luck at State!

I’d like everyone to know that our U13 girls premier team is moving to play in the state finals this weekend at Lawrence Park. They play Saturday (6/12) – 10:00am Field 11 vs. Evansville. WHEN they win that and advance they will (likely) play their nemesis (Carmel) on SUNDAY at 1:00pm Field 7.

In addition the U-12 White Blaze & U-14 SFSC Premier will be playing in the challenge cup finals this weekend. Their game times are 10:00 and 11:00am.

Good Luck to all three SFSC Teams. We are very proud of you! WIN STATE!!!

 Travel News Minimize

The St. Francis Soccer Club Travel Program offers a competitive environment for boys and girls, ages U9 through U19. (To be eligible for the following fall and spring seasons, children must be eight years old by August 1st). Teams are grouped according to player age. Practices are held twice a week, and games on the weekends. Each team can choose whether or not to compete in local and out-of-state tournaments. The cost to play depends on the number of players per team plus the amount of uniforms available.

Players who show talent and the level of commitment necessary may begin playing travel at the U-9 level. Travel has many different levels of play ranging from B (least competitive) to AAA or Premier (most competitive). These teams typically play 1/2 of their games at home, 1/2 of their games away, and may play in 2 or more tournaments per season. These teams practice 2 nights a week, and games are usually on Saturdays and Sundays. High School age students that are currently on their school's soccer team may play on the U15-19 Girls travel soccer teams or the U-15-19 Boys travel teams in the Spring.

Try-outs:  For information or specific try-out dates, please e-mail our Director of Coaching, Steve Campbell, steve@alsmithpc.com.

The Committee:  Works to increase number of travel teams. The committee establishes a direct link for players and coaches to easily move from the recreational program to the travel program. It creates policies and procedures to ensure that the Club's Travel Program runs smoothly.
